CHA Orlando

Hi Bloggers:

Just a quick note from steamy Orlando, the site of this summer's Craft and Hobby Association trade show. I've taken some great classes from Tim Holtz, Mayrah Johnson and others and have loads of ideas for GREAT technique workshops bubbling in my head. The exhibitors have really done amazing jobs displaying sample projects and new ideas. The Tattered angels booth is gorgeous, and everything has a lovely glimmery sheen!

Ranger Ink has some really fun new products and I've already placed that HUMONGOUS order so be looking for fun new metal embellishment in fall classes. I've found a great new company, Buzz and Bloom, from Australia (http://www.buzzandbloom.com/) and will be ordering their fab laser cut chipboard today.

Here's a photo of one of Tim's sample projects will replicate in a class soon....love the suitcase handle atop the canvas, too cute! You'll be using words that mean something to you so put those thinking caps on!

I had dinner the other night with a friend from HIGH SCHOOL...can you believe that was 30 years ago. Thought you might like to see the snap of the two of us reminiscing and remembering pour horrid fashion faux pas thanks to Stan remembering to bring our Senior year book......one word....YIKES!

10" x 10" Photo Album

This was a commission to welcome baby Mackenzie. I used Ten Seconds Studios "Kiss Me Pink" metal on the from and back covers. The ribbon is from May Arts. A bit of alcohol ink to color the letters and little daises and voila!

Photo Albums

I've been busy creating photo albums for the July 11th event. This example is covered in copper (front and back) and then aged with patina. The inside covers have decorative paper so all edges are covered. The book rings make it easy to add pages if the 20 included aren't enough. This album has 5" x 7" pages. There is a larger size with 8 1/2" x 11" pages also.
Some have been covered with copper, some with aluminum and one magnificent example has pewter covers. All sorts of themes and price points. You'll be able to custom order an album in the size, theme and metal you desire.
I think these will make a swell gift or perfect coffee table conversation piece for your treasured photos.
